Edit Modes

Edit Mode

With the options you can choose if you want to be in edit mode after opening a file. Use the menu item OPTIONS - OPTIONS, Register EDITOR and mark the option OPEN IN EDITMODE. Now you can start editing the file after opening the file.

To change the Edit Mode for a file use the menu item OPTIONS - EDIT MODE or press F2.

If you cant edit a file, there's a text in the statusbar near the filename [READ ONLY].

Insert- and Overwritemode

If your are in EDIT-Mode you can insert or overwrite text. To switch between insert/overwrite press the INS-Key. The actual Mode are showing in the statusbar with OVERW. or INSERT.
